Core & Strength Training Class
Feb 21 @ 6:30 am – 7:30 am

The class will utilize kettlebells and bodyweight to deliver a powerful combination of exercises that will build lean muscle, burn fat, and strengthen your core. The hour will be separated into three parts: warm-up, proper mobility and positioning, and moderate intensity to high volume exercises. This class is perfect for the beginner but can be modified to the individual’s needs, should they feel too challenged or not challenged enough.

Tues. Evening 7:30 – 8:30 pm
Tues. & Thurs. Morning 6:30 – 7:30 am
Free for River Rock Members or $12 drop in rate

Youth Team
Feb 21 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Our Youth Competitive Climbing Team welcomes youth of all skill levels looking to challenge themselves in a competitive climbing format. Competition climbing is an exciting individual sport which promotes physical strength and confidence. In addition, climbing helps youth build lasting friendships and a good work ethic. As a member of the Team, you will participate in two 2 hour practices a week and participate in a number of local bouldering or sport climbing competitions with the opportunity to progress to regional and national competitions. Advanced Bouldering Falls
Feb 21 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

This clinic is designed to help provide boulderers with falling techniques to address falling in horizontal, frontwards, or backwards positions. Is your fear of falling keeping you from pushing yourself in the bouldering area? Come learn about falling from various positions to prepare for your next level of climbing! Participants must be 14 years of age or older.

This clinic is free for members.
$10 for non-members (day pass and rental gear not included).

The gym will be open early for current members of the River Rock. Regular business hours begin at 10:00am. We will not be accepting guest passes or offering instruction during the early member’s only hours on Wednesday’s. Come in and get your early morning climb on to start your day!

Youth Club
Feb 22 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

The River Rock Youth Club is for youth climbers looking to explore the sport.Our coaching staff will emphasize the fundamentals of climbing and fitness in a fun and relaxed environment. Club sessions focus on balance, movement, strength training, communication and mental strategy. This program offers a lot less commitment than our competitive team with plenty of opportunity to progress in climbing technique. We provide a 1:5 instructor to youth ratio. Sign up here!

All-Level Yoga
Feb 22 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

All level yoga class instructed by Uttara Yoga Studio.

Every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm.
Free for River Rock members. Drop-in rate of $12 for non-members.

Reach Your Peak
Feb 22 @ 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Reach Your Peak (RYP) is an eight-week climbing fitness training program that utilizes a combination of roped climbing and bouldering (non-roped climbing) for climbers to improve their skills and reach their personal fitness goals.The program was developed utilizing auto-belay devices for the roped climbing components, so no need to have a climbing partner.
Any level of climber can participate! Improve your overall health, improve endurance, and strengthen already existing skill-sets. Of course, there are other unintended side effects that have been seen from following this program:
Healthy weight-loss
Overall feeling of increased “coolness”
New-found or renewed passion for climbing
Increased popularity
Less tired and sluggish at work
Better nights of sleep
Each weekly session will also have additional workouts or “homework” that will require you to make additional visits to the gym before you start the next program week. We recommend that participants are members of the gym for the duration of the 8 week program.

No additional cost to participate over regular admission to the gym or gym membership.You can either go it alone or participate as a group in our RYP work-out sessions. Our staff will be available during the organized sessions to answer questions, give support, or help guide technique.
