The ladies of the River Rock cordially invite you for Boulders and Brunch every Sunday morning beginning at 10:00 am. Sunhats optional. This is an all female social climbing group that some of our women climbers started last spring. They meet for climbing, and then follow it up with brunch at the Wasena City Tap Room. Not a member? No problem. All lady climbers joining this group will be offered a special $10 day pass rate (gear included) from 10:00 – 12:00. All skill levels are encouraged to join!
In the Basic Belay Course you will work with our instructor and learn the technique of belaying. After taking the class and before your first time climbing, you will be required to take a belay test showing the staff that you have retained all the information and skills necessary. Taking this class and successfully passing the belay test will certify you to belay climbers in the gym.
This course takes approximately an hour and a half. Rental harness and shoes are provided in course fee if needed.
Course Prerequisite: participants must be at least 13 years old

Slack Line Sunday
Every Sunday from 5 – 8 pm try out slacklining. Increase your balance and have fun while you do it! Just $10 and includes a pass to climb from 5-8 pm and rental gear if you need it – climb or slackline, your choice.
All level yoga class.

Our Youth Competitive Climbing Team is for kids of all skill levels looking to challenge themselves in a competitive climbing format. Competition climbing is an exciting individual sport that promotes physical strength and builds confidence. In addition, climbing helps youth build lasting friendships and the love of a good work ethic. As a member of the team, kids will participate in two 2-hour practices a week. They have the opportunity to participate in a number of local USA Climbing competitions with the opportunity to progress to regional and national competitions.
Climber Core Class
This is a mat based class (utilizing yoga style floor mats) designed to develop functional core strength, promote correct alignment, and focusing on breath and balance. Each class will end with stretching.
The exercises will be similar to a Pilates based program, but will focus on a climber’s core strength and movement. Not only will it improve athletic performance, it help foster valuable insights about your body and your limits.

These classes are led by EmPower Pilates & Yoga.
If you have never led before, or it’s been awhile since you have, then this class is for you! In our lead climbing class you will learn all the fundamentals of leading and lead belaying.This course is six total hours and broken into two separately scheduled sessions. Rental harness and shoes are provided in course fee if needed. Following the workshop participants must successfully pass the lead climbing and lead belay test in order to gain access to participation in lead climbing and/or belaying in the River Rock gym. Course Prerequisite: Must be currently climbing at a 5.9 top rope level and checked off to top rope belay at the River Rock.
This is a two part class and you must be able to attend both sessions. Space is limited and registration is required. Register HERE.

FREE for River Rock Members, $12 drop-in for guests
Lead by House of Strength, this class will provide a familiarization of strength and conditioning equipment now available at the River Rock. Over 4-6 week period participants will go through how to use kettlebells, dumbbells, barbells, resistance bands, suspension training systems, rack system, and how to conduct strength conditioning utilizing those items. Participants will be led through a short warm up and workout using the equipment focused on for that specific class. Individuals are encouraged to come to a full cycle of the class to become knowledgeable with each type of new equipment available at River Rock.
Member’s Only Hours – 8:00am to 10:00am
The gym will be open early for current members of the River Rock. Regular business hours begin at 10:00am. We will not be accepting guest passes or offering instruction during the early member’s only hours on Wednesday’s. Come in and get your early morning climb on to start your day!
